Dr. Giessman is a chiropractor who has been practicing for 20 years in Brentwood as well as in Pleasanton. Before he became a chiropractor, he acquired degree in sports medicine from the prestigious Pepperdine University. Dr. Giessman is not just limited to the chiropractic unit of medicine but he has also gained experience in acupuncture, massage and physical therapy. With his expertise in certain departments of medicine, doctors in the field of orthopedic and neurosurgery have huge respect for him and they directly refer the patients to him. He has cured many athletes who have played at the professional level and he also provides guidance and support to the local high school children in their sports program.
He graduated with his Bachelor degree in Sports Medicine with flying colors from the Pepperdine University, Malibu, California in 1982. In 1990 he gained his certification as a Doctor of Chiropractic and Spinal Trauma Certification with great distinction from Life Chiropractic College West. He also has a certification in Industrial Disability Evaluation which he gained in the year 1992 from the International Chiropractic Association. From 1994-1995, he did his Chiropractic Sports Physician Certification from Palmer Chiropractic College West. From the period of 1990 to 2005, he has been the owner and the director of Amador valley of Chiropractic and SportsCare. In 1994, he opened another clinic named as Delta Spine and SportsCare and has been the director since then. Apart from these two, he has another Sports Care facility Spine and SportsCare Facility @ Balley Fitness and he is the owner and director there at present.
Apart from the medical laurels, he is a qualified medical examiner from the State of California Industrial Medical Council Industrial Disability Evaluator International Chiropractic Honor Society National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He has a lot of accomplishments in his kitty; he was an instructor of Biophysics Techniques at Life Chiropractic College West. He co-authored the Journal of Aging and Physical Activity, “Fractioned reaction time in women as a function of age and physical activity level” in 1993. Presently, he is included in the Aim High Child Care Centers Board of Directors.
