With increasing longevity, access to the numerous federal and state programs designed to help the aging population is increasingly complex. Further, understanding all the various senior resources available and options for long-term care and aging in place is more confusing than ever. Elder Law attorneys are invaluable for help seniors and their families understand the financial and legal intricacies they will face while navigating the aging process.
Anne Hydorn is a reputable and experienced attorney with over 15 years of legal practice. Her practice is centered around helping elderly people and their families navigate the unknown. Her mother-in-law’s serious and debilitating illness at a fairly younger age and recognition that there is a genuine need for more understanding about the health and financial services for the senior population are the factors that inspired Anne to enter into Elder Law and Estate Planning.
Anne enrolled in law school in 2000 after finding her path in the Human Resource field for eight years. With a B.A. and Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California, Anne began her law career as an associate for Hanson Bridgett LLP in San Francisco, and later became a law firm partner. There she advised employers regarding a wide variety of employee benefit plans, but focused primarily on retirement and health care benefits. Anne had a substantial practice in employee benefits, and represented many California governmental agencies. As such, she has a deep knowledge of CalPERS benefits, as well as California county retirement benefits. Her practice involved all forms of retirement benefits, health care reform compliance, health and welfare benefits (medical, dental and visions plans; life insurance; and disability benefits), trustee fiduciary responsibilities, and related tax compliance.
Following her heart and compassion, Anne began her own Elder Law & Estate Planning practice in Brentwood. Using her many years of professional practice and drawing upon her own personal experiences, she now provides quality legal services to help the senior population, including properly designed estate plans that account for future or unexpected events relating to health and aging.
